It’s the most wonderful time of the year….

The stockings are hung by the chimney with care and smells of cinnamon fill the air.

Adam and I are back from our Honeymoon extravaganza and adjusting to our real world marriage of Thanksgiving meals and Christmas decorating. Having an October was one of the smartest things we could have done. (Besides the obvious reason of getting married on a football “bye week”) it seems like the celebration has just continued thru Halloween, our Honeymoon (which we still have to share) and now Thanksgiving and Christmas! And y’all all know how both of us like to celebrate!

We’re over joyed to celebrate this holiday season as Husband and Wife. As many of you may recall, last Christmas Eve is when Adam proposed- what a year it has been! We’re getting settled into our new home. We’re finding new homes for grilling gear and high heeled shoes, learning new quirks and laughing along the way.

There might have been a little teeth grinding and glared eyes too. All in love…all in love.

To get the holiday season started Adam made yummy Homemade Adult Hot Chocolate and the Christmas decorations went up!  I grew up with artificial trees, while Adam’s family always had a real Fraser Fur. We’re starting our own family traditions with 2 trees a real, Fraser Fur of course, and a fake. Each tree has a theme of its own- “Whimsical Red/Silver Santa Wonderland” and “Rustic Santas and toys.”

Even our little Elf, Dewey, has made his first appearance and seems to be settling in quite nicely!

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” at our cozy little home. We’d love to see your holiday decorations and hear your thoughts!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and your newly and nearly newlywed moments! Remember we’re newlyweds, not experts!

  1. When Adam was young and my Mom needed help for the family Christmas morning, he had everything done and ready and was just excited as my mom. Good times.
